We would like to thank the more than three thousand people who turned out on Saturday night to celebrate LA Flash and demonstrate yet again the enduring originality of LA street style. Photography from the evening will be posted at the LA Flash microsite  as soon as it is available, so stay tuned . . .

Saturday, September 6 | 8-11 pm
Come to LACMA on the evening of September 6 to take part in a unique celebration and documentation of Los Angeles street style. It promises to be one of the social and photographic highlights of the season:

  • View outdoor projections of the original LA Flash, a 400-image exploration of Los Angeles street style and personality circa 1973.
  • Be part of its contemporary sequel, as our photographers document your very own street style with images uploaded to the Web.
  • Enjoy music, special screenings of independent films, and curator-and educator-led tours of modern art from the permanent collection and special exhibitions Philip-Lorca diCorcia and The Age of Imagination: Japanese Art, 1615–1868, from the Price Collection.

LACMA | $10; open to the public, tickets required | Order tickets  online or contact the LACMA box office at 323-857-6010
