| Who Made the Exhibition Happen? | ||||
More than 100 people planned, organized, and installed NOW:
The artists developed proposals, sketches, models, and budgets in collaboration with staff, which often meant long discussions and numerous problem-solving sessions. Two architects designed the exhibition, provided assistance and advice to the artists, and created a new kind of space at LACMA that could be both a home for artists’ projects for kids and an art studio for people of all ages. LACMALab was the producer and mediator of a collaborative process involving multiple perspectives, conflicting expectations, and contradictory needs. The artists' commitment and the positive working relationships of all participants proved crucial. And YOU! |
