Can a sandbox be a sculpture?

When are you most creative?

Victor Estrada designed a sandbox in the shape of a person and filled it with damp sand, perfect for sculpting sand castles. He also created cardboard cutouts of the person-shape to paint and stake in the lawn around the sandbox.

Estrada hopes visitors won't just look at his artwork—he wants them to pick up a paintbrush or get dirty in the sandbox. Estrada sees creativity as part of everyday life: you can be creative in an artist's studio, in a sandbox, or in your classroom. He believes that anyone can be an artist, and that art is not an activity for a few people. What do you think? Can anyone be an artist?
