What's the role of the artist in this artwork? The role of the visitor?

If you’ve always wanted to be famous, Erika Rothenberg has created an artwork just for you. She's designed a stage where visitors can sing, dance, or read poetry. The performances will be displayed on a big screen in the gallery and broadcast to the Garden of Fame, on the lawn outside the gallery. You can even make a work of art and hang it in the museum!

What does Rothenberg think about fame? She believes that everyone should have the chance to be famous, but she also feels there’s a dark side to fame. Once you have performed, Rothenberg believes, then you can get on with your life without worrying about becoming famous.
