Figure and Form in Contemporary Photography
Contemporary photographers continue to capture the human form in many modes—from the abstracted to the gestural, the conceptual to the sculptural, and as the object of observation, both straightforward and sublime.
This installation of recent acquisitions includes Viviane Sassen’s evocative work, Belladonna (2010), that seems to defy the limits of the posed body (2010), as well as work by Bruce Conner, Paul Graham, and Ken Gonzales-Day.
