Costume Council

Organized in 1954, the Costume Council supports LACMA's world-class Costume and Textiles Department. The Costume Council's yearly calendar includes lectures by well-known authors, curators, and designers, as well as cocktail receptions, fashion shows, and book-signings. In addition, Patron members enjoy private tours of local studios, boutiques, galleries, and museums. Fashion Circle members receive all of the above, plus exclusive access to additional unique and elegant events, including behind-the-scenes access and rare, fashion-related opportunities. Fashion Circle members also enjoy the first opportunity to participate in curator-led study tours to cities rich in the fashion and textile arts such as Florence, Istanbul, Kyoto, Paris, and many more.
