Teen Event: After Dark

Join this special party just for teens. See the special exhibitions Ends and Exits: Contemporary Art from the Collections of LACMA and The Broad Art Foundation, Stephen Prina: As He Remembered It, and  Metropolis II and dance under the stars to DJs from ArTES High School.

Admission is free.

What kind of music will be played?
Put in your requests and tell us what you'd like to hear!

Bobby T and the Slackers- 7:00 pm
DJs from ArTES High School- 7:30 pm 
Luke Kim- 7:00 pm
Eaves- 8:30 pm 

Will there be food?
Yes, free taco bar.

Can parents come? 
No. This is a teen-only event. Parents can drop you off, make reservations to have dinner at LACMA's restaurant, Ray's, or catch the film Mi Vida Dentro (My Life Inside) playing at 8 pm in the Bing Theater.

Who can come?
Teens in middle school or high school. Bring your valid school ID. Sorry, no college teens.

What if I don't have a middle or high school ID?
Bring some kind of photo ID that has your birthdate such as a California ID or passport or a note from a teacher, parent, or guardian.

Is the event supervised?
 
Yes! Museum and security staff will chaperone the evening.

Can we leave and come back? 
No. There are no in-and-out privileges.

Where can we get dropped off and picked up?
On Wilshire Blvd. in front of Chris Burden's Urban Light, near the intersection of Ogden Street. The event may sell out, so please purchase tickets in advance; if you come without tickets, please ask your ride to wait to be sure you are able to get a ticket.

How much is parking? 
$10; free if you park after 7 pm.

What time is the event?
After Dark is from 7–10 pm. Entry to the exhibition is from 8–10 pm.

What if I'm not a NexGen member? 
You can enroll for our free NexGen membership at LACMA during the event.
