Ancient Bodies presents figurines from Burial 39, one of the royal tombs excavated at El Perú-Waka’, Guatemala, and nearly 50 additional figurines from LACMA’s collection that represent ancient cultures from across Mesoamerica. 

In conjunction with the exhibition opening, join Michelle Rich, exhibition curator and archaeological excavator of Burial 39, and Daniel Aquino, Director of the Museo Nacional de Arqeología y Etnología of Guatemala, as they discuss Guatemalan archaeology, the National Museum, and the exhibition.
