Families: Andell Family Sundays—Art of the Pacific Islands

12:30 pm | Sun, September 30, 2018

Zev Yaroslavsky Plaza

Make, look, and talk about art at Andell Family Sundays! Drop in anytime between 12:30 and 3:30 pm. This weekly family event features artist-led workshops and friendly gallery tours and activities thematically based on special exhibitions and LACMA’s permanent collection. Create memories together and have fun!

Check out LACMA’s installation of art from various Pacific Islands. Be inspired by a drum in the shape of a whale from Papua New Guinea, or a textile from the Hawaiian Islands. In artist-led workshops, learn simple hula dance, and create patterned textiles.

While you're here, visit BCAM to see more than a thousand miniature cars zooming through Chris Burden's kinetic sculpture, Metropolis II, in action every Sunday at the following times: 10:30–11:30 am; 12:30–1:30 pm; 2:30–3:30 pm; 4:30–5:30 pm.
