Cur-ATE: Italian Art and Gastronomy

Ray's and Stark Bar, along with Maite Gomez-Rejón of ArtBites and LACMA, is bridging the gap between culinary arts and fine art. Beginning this year, visitors can experience intimate gallery discussions tracing the role of food in historical and social context through art. Immediately following each tour, executive chef Kris Morningstar will present a three-course meal inspired by the evening's theme.
Explore paintings, sculpture, and decorative art from ancient Rome through the eighteenth century. Historic cookbooks dating back to the time of Caravaggio will inspire the tour and the menu. Following the tour, an Italian/Roman-inspired dinner by Chef Kris Morningstar will be presented. An Italian wine pairing menu will be offered at an additional cost and may be ordered at the time when the dinner is served.
