Sunday, February 3, 2013 | 1 pm

Keith Christiansen, John Pope-Hennessy Chairman of European Paintings at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, discusses the life and work of Caravaggio, paying special attention to the paintings in Bodies and Shadows: Caravaggio and His Legacy. He was instrumental in authenticating one of those paintings, Portrait of Maffeo Barberini, and will outline the procedures he used to determine that the painting is indeed by Caravaggio.
