Visitors are invited to a free day at the museum* to celebrate the closing of The Getty's Pacific Standard Time initiative, a collaboration of more than sixty cultural institutions across Southern California to celebrate the history of the Los Angeles art scene. 

Programming includes:

See Chris Burden's kinetic sculpture, Metropolis II in action: 11:30 am–12:30 pm; 1:30–2:30 pm; 3:30–4:30 pm; 5:30–6:30 pm.

Free, live concert: Surf City All-Stars, featuring members of Brian Wilson's band and Jan & Dean.
