What is the magnetic force that links eye to eye, gaze to gaze? Join Polly Nooter Roberts, UCLA professor of world arts and cultures and consulting curator for African art at LACMA, on a tour of The Inner Eye: Vision and Transcendence in African Arts.

The exhibition explores how the arts and their visual systems enable transitions from one life stage to the next and from one state of being to another. Visitors will gain insight into how the works reflect culturally specific notions of visuality and how they celebrate artists as agents of insight and transformation.

Free with general admission
