Talk: Meditation and Art—Art of the Pacific

4 pm | Thu, December 20, 2018

In this world of speed and gadgets, it is hard to find moments of stillness and contemplation. Museums are ideal places to slow down and look. Join educator Alicia Vogl Saenz for a slow-looking activity in LACMA's installation of texitiles (tapa) in the Art of the Pacific galleries, followed by a period of meditation. Instruction will be given. Prior meditation experience is not necessary.

Although the event is free, reservations are required. Attendance will be limited as the meditation takes place in the galleries. Admission to LACMA is free after 3 pm for residents of Los Angeles County.
