Join assistant curator Rachel Kaplan for a tour of Painted in Mexico, 1700–1790: Pinxit Mexici that will explore the fashions on view in these stunning paintings. What can we learn about the people depicted from their clothes, accessories, and fashion decisions? This talk will highlight the careful attention painters paid to material culture, using these details as a window into the history and society of 18th-century Mexico.
