Friday, April 4, 2014 | 6 pm

Presented by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in collaboration with the City of Montebello Department of Parks and Recreation

Montebello Art+Film Lab debuts with a special opening party! Get an inside peek into the Art+Film Lab, enjoy live music by Viento Callejero, and see a special screening of the film La Bamba by Luis Valdez.

Embodying the new sound of Los Angeles, Viento Callejero is a fresh approach on urban tropical music stripped down to feature its most raw elements. Formed in January 2013, this trio breaks down the rhythmic and melodic pulse of Cumbia Colombiana, Son Montuno, merengue, reggae, dance hall, and rock to create a new sound that is infectious to the listeners ears, hips, and feet. Viento Callejero is Gloria Estrada on guitar, Federico Zuniga on bass, and Gabriel Villa on drums.
