Steve Reich & Friends

In celebration of James Turrell: A Retrospective,  Pulitzer Prize–winning composer Steve Reich comes to LACMA for an evening of performances devoted to his music by the Lyris Quartet, pianists Vicki Ray and Joanne Pearce Martin, and a percussion ensemble led by CalArts’ David Johnson. Reich has been hailed by the New York Times as “among the great composers of the century.” New and old works on the program include Different Trains, WTC 9/11, Sextet, Piano Counterpoint, and Clapping Music.
