Muse Costume Ball 2012

Wednesday, October 31, 2012 | 8 pm

The inspiration for the ninth annual Muse Costume Ball is the work of legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick. Partygoers will be treated to an exclusive preview of LACMA’s Stanley Kubrick exhibition, where they’ll see annotated scripts, set models, costumes, props, and more from the director’s prolific and distinguished career.

Please join us for an unforgettable party inspired by Kubrick’s masterpieces Eyes Wide Shut, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, and A Clockwork Orange.

Daedelus featuring Archimedes, Sypher Art Studios, Astra Dance Company, and more perform. Check out the incredible video of Daedelus featuring Archimedes in action!

Dress to impress and to be entered into the annual costume contest, where prizes will be awarded for Best Stanley Kubrick Character, Best Masquerade Attire, and Best Halloween Costume. This year's contest is hosted by LACMA Film Curator Elvis Mitchell and features 3-time Oscar-winning Costume Designer Colleen Atwood on the panel of judges.
