Light Reignfall Member Ticket Information

James Turrell’s Light Reignfall is one of the artist’s Perceptual Cells—freestanding enclosed structures that provide an immersive experience for one viewer at a time.

Members receive priority ticketing and discounted tickets.

Q: How does ticketing work?

A: Light Reignfall is an 11-minute, specially ticketed, timed-entry experience. Timed appointments are scheduled in advance for one person at a time. Tickets must be purchased at a LACMA Ticket Office or online, pending availability. 

Blocks of tickets will be released throughout the exhibition run. Tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable. 


Q: What is the price for a member ticket?

A: Member tickets are $15 each—more than 50% off the general public ticket price.


Q: How many discounted member tickets do I receive?

A: Student and Individual-level members receive one discounted member ticket for one experience. Dual-level members receive two discounted member tickets for one experience. Friend-level members and above receive two discounted member tickets per day, pending availability. 


Q: Can members purchase additional tickets for friends?

A: Members may purchase additional tickets at the regular ticket price: $35. These tickets include general admission.


Q: Are there age restrictions for Light Reignfall?

A: Yes. Participants must be 18 or over and have a valid photo ID.


Q: What else is included in my Light Reignfall ticket? 

A: Your Light Reignfall ticket includes general admission to LACMA. It does not include admission to other specially ticketed exhibitions and experiences. However, based on your membership level, you may pick up free (or discounted) tickets to other specially ticketed exhibitions or experiences, based on availability.


Q: Are member tickets transferable? Refundable?

A: No. You must present a photo ID to pick up your tickets. If your membership is not current on the day of your visit, you will need to renew your membership or forfeit your tickets. There are no refunds for tickets. 


Q: Is there anything else I should know about my Light Reignfall visit?

A: Yes!

Participants must be 18 or over and have a valid photo ID.

Waiver and release of liability is available here and on-site and must be signed before participating.

Failure to check in at the Light Reignfall gallery in the Resnick Pavilion five minutes prior to the appointment may result in cancellation. Please arrive at LACMA at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment time.

As with all galleries at LACMA, Light Reignfall is ADA compliant. Please send an email to boxoffice@lacma.org to coordinate any necessary accommodations after securing a reservation.

Light Reignfall is not recommended for individuals with claustrophobia, heart conditions, back conditions, a history of seizures, epilepsy, and/or sensitivity to flashing lights.

Participants thought to be unstable or under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be admitted.

No photography or other documentation of the experience is permitted.
