Return to Metropolis II

Comments

I took my family and a few friends this weekend to see Metropolis II and we had a blast! Be sure to climb the stairs and view the work from the balcony, such an amazing view.

The concept of the piece seems so simple, but I couldn't take my eyes off it. Mesmerizing for kids and adults alike!

We took friends to the museum who were unfamiliar with Chris Burden's works. They were really impressed with Metropolis II. It's amazing to see so many little cars racing around at such a high rate of speed, but in somewhat of an organized fashion. So much to look at. The view from the balcony was special. Thanks, LACMA. You continue to surprise visitors with such a variety of Exhibits for all ages.

I can see why the docent in the middle wears earplugs. But what would've really set it off would have been mini helicopters and planes flying overhead!
