Gifts of Art

In just 50 years, LACMA has established itself as a world-class museum with one of the strongest encyclopedic collections in the world. More than 120,000 objects make up LACMA's holdingsand in the past decade, LACMA has acquired over 20,000 artworks, many of which were given by generous donors. These include transformative collections of Modern art, photography, European fashion, Latin American art, and art from the Pacific Islands.

Join us in building a strong and diverse collection for Los Angeles with a gift of art to LACMA. Your gift will be enjoyed by the public and will leave a lasting legacy by inspiring future generations.

Our curatorial staff gives careful consideration to all gifts of art before they are included as part of the collection.

Interested in furthering your involvement with growing LACMA’s permanent collection? Consider joining one of LACMA’s Acquisitions Groups or the museum's Collectors Committee.
