Talk: Conversation & Book Signing: Michael Govan and Walter Isaacson on Leonardo da Vinci

2 pm | Sun, October 22, 2017
Bing Theater

Michael Govan, LACMA CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director, talks with acclaimed author Walter Isaacson about his new book on Leonardo da Vinci. Based on thousands of pages from the artist’s astonishing notebooks and new discoveries about his life and work, Isaacson’s narrative connects Leonardo’s art to his science and shows how his genius was based on skills we can improve in ourselves, such as passionate curiosity, careful observation, and an imagination so playful that it flirted with fantasy.

Walter Isaacson is the author of several bestselling biographies including Steve Jobs, Einstein, and Benjamin Franklin.

A book signing will follow.
