Intergenerational classes for students ages 5 and up.

Five Saturdays, October 21, 28, November 4, 11, and 18 | 12:30–2:30 pm

In this class, families will explore the intersection of art and design. Get inspired by exquisitely crafted objects from around the world, like Japanese cloisonné, Maya vessels, and even the modern California home! Projects will include drawing, 3D model making, clay sculpture, weaving, and textile printing. Special exhibitions visited will be Found in Translation: Design in California and Mexico, 1915–1985 and A Tale of Two Persian Carpets (One by One): The Ardabil and Coronation Carpets. With artist Valentina M. Quezada.

Art Class Information
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is required for all classes. Enrollment varies per class. No prior art-making experience is necessary. This class is designed for children ages 5 and older; children ages 4 and under will not be admitted. Art materials and parking fees included in tuition. Cancellation Policy
Full refunds will only be granted if the art class is canceled. Please notify us immediately of any cancellations so that a student on our waiting list can attend class. A refund equal to half of tuition paid will be granted for cancellations made three weeks before class start date. No refunds for cancellations made less than three weeks prior to class start date.
