A wide variety of art history classes, highlighting both special exhibitions and the permanent collection, are offered throughout the year. Class includes an introduction followed by a private tour of LACMA’s galleries and/or special exhibition. Class size is limited so participants have ample opportunity for questions and discussion.

An introductory slide lecture with educator Mary Lenihan covers modern art from surrealism and Dada to abstract expressionism. A private gallery tour of the newly installed modern art galleries follows.

boxlet Ensor's Masterpiece

9 am–11 am

Curator Theresa Papanikolas leads this in-depth look at James Ensor's greatest print, featured in LACMA's exhibition Doctrinal Nourishment. An introductory slide lecture will be followed by a private gallery tour.
