Scheduling

Contact the Education Coordinator for Distance Learning by email at aguglielmo@lacma.org, or by phone at 323.932.5877 to schedule your distance learning session.

Programs are available Monday through Friday between 9 am and 5 pm PST. Reservations are required at least three weeks in advance for all programs.

Fees

The cost is $100 per one-hour program and includes test connections and a teacher consultation. Programs are free for all public schools within Los Angeles County. Schools using ISDN equipment are responsible for paying connection fees associated with placing the video call to LACMA.

Cancellations must be received forty-eight hours in advance in order to receive a full refund.

Tips for a successful program

  • Please prepare students in advance for the distance learning experience.  Ensure that students are comfortable with the classroom set-up and acquainted with the equipment (monitors, camera, microphones, etc.).
  • Let students know that their participation is welcome and expected as part of the lesson. Classes include content that requires active viewing of artworks, provides new information, and encourages critical thinking and group discussion.
  • Classroom teachers should help facilitate the lesson by calling upon students and repeating questions and comments if necessary.

This program is made possible through the Anna H. Bing Children's Art Education Fund.
