Technology Information

Audiences can remotely connect with LACMA via two alternate technologies. Multi-point classroom connections are possible. A facilitator/teacher from your school must be present during the test connection and the program.

Videoconferences

Schools must be equipped with videoconferencing equipment capable of communicating with an IP-based system at a minimum of 384 Kbs. Schools with ISDN are welcome, but must use their own gateway provider at this time.

Webinars

LACMA's distance learning webinar is a live, interactive class in which visual images are shared on a computer screen, and the audio is conveyed over a standard telephone line, preferably through a speakerphone. To participate in programs in this format, a classroom or library must have a computer with internet connection, a telephone, and preferably a computer projector for greater visibility of the images.

This program is made possible through the Anna H. Bing Children's Art Education Fund.
