Every Tuesday, LACMA screens a classic film as part of the ongoing Tuesday Matinee series.

A director's second film is notoriously difficult to produce, especially for those systematically barred from the film industry. This yearlong series offers second features by underrepresented artists to celebrate their triumph while calling attention to the barriers that continue to shortchange marginalized communities as they navigate the film industry.
