Series: Design in Motion: Oskar Fischinger and Abstract Animation

In conjunction with the exhibition California Design 1930-1965: Living in a Modern Way, LACMA and the Center for Visual Music present two programs of landmark, avant-garde filmmaking by artists working in California during the period covered in the exhibition These artists also share an exuberant aesthetic that involves vibrant colors, disassembled geometries, and an affinity for light.
