Grevillea Art Park in Inglewood is the eighth site for the LACMA9 Art+Film Lab. Grevillea Art Park, near Inglewood’s City Hall, is home to Helen Lundeberg’s 240 foot mural known as The History of Transportation, commissioned by the WPA in 1939. Area residents are invited to participate in free film workshops, an oral history project, outdoor film screenings, plus a free day at LACMA. The event is presented by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in collaboration with Grevillea Art Park.

Call to Local Artists:

Share your art and join us in celebrating the creative culture of your neighborhood!  Prior to film screenings, LACMA will project a rotating selection of  images of artwork from artists residing in Inglewood and neighboring areas. Images of artwork will be accepted in various media, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, printmaking, and photography. Submit JPEG files only (no larger than 600 pixels width by 800 pixels height) to by Sunday June 15, at 11:59 pm. Your email should include your name and the title and date of your artwork. Images will be projected in a rotating sequence. Please keep in mind that these are family-friendly events, and LACMA reserves the right to not include particular images.
