Featured Item: Boy and Girl Faun Bronze
A charming interpretation of a Janiform Herm given to LACMA by William Randolph Hearst, this is a limited-edition piece hand-crafted by Los Angeles artist Tamara Hensick for LACMA. The original double-headed bronze was found near Pompeii. It is believed to have been made for a Roman villa and used as a finial on a balustrade. The two faces represent Pan, the god of nature as a young man, along with his female counterpart. Approximately 4 inches high. Order the sculpture
