These free concerts are presented Saturday evenings at the Dorothy Collins Brown Amphitheater at LACMA, where you can enjoy open seating and picnicking on the grounds
This week, join us for a concert with Boogaloo Assassins.
Boogaloo Assassins are a Los Angeles-based 13-piece Latin band with a sound and style inspired by the Latin Boogaloo, Latin Soul, Salsa, and Latin Funk records of the past. A live music favorite since 2008, their independently released 2013 debut EP “Old Love Dies Hard” was inspired by the soulful Latin records of the 1960s. In 2016, the band joined the iconic Latin label FANIA Records. Boogaloo Assassins have received airplay on Los Angeles radio stations like KJazz, KCRW, KPFK, KPCC, KXLU and Giles Peterson’s BBC Radio 6, as well as press from NPR and Vice.
Latin Sounds is free and open to all. Seating is limited and first come, first served.
