2017 Art+Film Gala Honoring

2017 Art+Film Gala Honoring Mark Bradford and George Lucas

On Saturday November 4, 2017, notables from the art, film, fashion, and entertainment industries will gather at LACMA for its seventh annual Art+Film Gala honoring acclaimed artist Mark Bradford and renowned award-winning filmmaker George Lucas. LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio will co-chair the event for the seventh consecutive year.

Past honorees of the Art+Film Gala include artists Robert Irwin, James Turrell, Barbara Kruger, David Hockney, Ed Ruscha, and John Baldessari, and filmmakers Kathryn Bigelow, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick, and Clint Eastwood. Musical performers at past galas include artists such as Stevie Wonder, Florence + the Machine, Sting, and BØRNS.

Proceeds from the Art+Film Gala will go toward supporting LACMA’s initiative to make film more central to the museum’s curatorial programming, while also funding LACMA’s broader mission, including exhibitions, acquisitions, educational programming, and screenings that explore the intersection of art and film. The Art+Film Gala is once again made possible by Gucci’s longstanding and generous support. Individual tickets for the 2017 Art+Film Gala start at $5,000.
