Host an Event
LACMA provides a unique and elegant setting for events, offering guests an exclusive opportunity for private viewing of the museum's galleries. As one of the foremost art museums in the nation, LACMA welcomes over one million visitors annually and houses a permanent collection of nearly 140,000 works. The museum presents special exhibitions throughout the year that showcase some of the world’s greatest art—from the work of a single artist to a celebrated period.
Events hosted at LACMA include but are not limited to:
- Client or employee receptions
- Film premieres and after parties
- Conferences and meetings
- Award banquets
- Alumni receptions
The museum's event venues and services are available to corporations, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.

Note: LACMA is temporarily closed. While LACMA’s mission is to celebrate centuries of creativity and inspiring human endeavors, our foremost priority is the health and safety of our visitors, staff, volunteers, and neighbors. Following recommendations from Los Angeles County and in coordination with our sister institution, the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County, LACMA closed temporarily to the public effective Saturday, March 14 until further notice. Hancock Park and our public sculptures remain open and accessible, but please continue to practice physical distancing. Based on guidance from state and county public health officials, the museum is preparing plans to safely reopen our galleries and event venues.
