Andell Family Sundays—Levitated Mass

Sunday, July 29, 2012 | 12:30 pm

Join us on Sundays for programs designed especially for families. What began as the arduous journey of a 340-ton megalith more than a hundred miles (at night!) to get to LACMA has now become Michael Heizer's monumental artwork, Levitated Mass. Be among the first to experience LACMA's newest outdoor, awe-inspiring sculpture. In workshops, dance and make your own awesome art.

While you're here, cruise on over to BCAM to see more than a thousand miniature cars zooming through Chris Burden's kinetic sculpture, Metropolis II, which is in action every Sunday at the following times: 12:30–1:30 pm; 2:30–3:30 pm; 4:30–5:30 pm; 6:30–7:30 pm.

North Piazza | Free, with museum admission | 12:30–3:30 pm

Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Andell Family Sundays is supported by Andrew and Ellen Hauptman and the Hauptman Family Foundation.
