Special: Challenging Infamy

1 pm | Sat, October 6, 2018

Join us for a performance and community resources event hosted by Narratives of Resistance Media. Drawing on themes from A Universal History of Infamy: Those of This America, performers will explore—through music, dance, and poetry—how bodies are sites of resistance, and how art can be an unfiltered declaration of intersecting identities.

The exhibition A Universal History of Infamy: Those of This America presents work by contemporary Latino artists, writers, and activists exploring loss, resilience, and the political potential of poetic expression alongside works from LACMA’s collection.
