Jazz at LACMA: Jonathan Pinson Band

Celebrate L.A.'s finest jazz musicians with Jazz at LACMA, presented Friday evenings from May through October. This week, join us for a concert with the Jonathan Pinson Band.

The leader of BOOM CLAP, Jonathan Pinson is an international artist and educator who aspires to bring joy and healing to the listener through the power of musical storytelling. Pinson has appeared at the Newport, Jakarta, and So What’s Next jazz festivals, and at the Hollywood Bowl, Blue Note, and Ronnie Scott’s. Most recently, he was an artist in residence at Black Cat, San Francisco. Pinson has performed with Seal, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Kamasi Washington, and Ben Williams.
