Are advance reservations required for specially ticketed exhibitions?
It is not required but strongly recommended. By reserving tickets in advance, you guarantee entry on the day you visit.
How can I reserve special exhibition tickets?
Special exhibition tickets can be reserved onsite, online, or by phone. Please call 323 857-6010 to reserve tickets. All ticket purchases are non-refundable. LACMA members may exchange tickets for specially ticketed exhibitions for an exchange fee of $3 per ticket.
Do tickets for special exhibitions include access to the rest of the museum?
Yes, admission to specially ticketed exhibitions includes general admission as well.
Are advanced reservations required for general admission?
No, but you may purchase tickets online in advance of your visit.
Are there any discounts available on general admission?
Yes, discounts on general admission are as follows:
Students (with ID)
KCRW members (with member ID)
EBT (EBT card must be presented)
Members of the military receive free general admission tickets between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Are there days when general admission to the museum is free?
- General admission is free the second Tuesday of every month.
- General admission is free to Los Angeles County residents after 3 pm on weekdays (except Wednesday, when the museum is closed).
- Target Free Holiday Mondays grant free general admission to everyone on certain federal holidays that fall on Mondays (check our calendar in advance for Target Free Holiday Mondays).
- Bank of America sponsors the first full weekend of every month at LACMA. Show your Bank of America debit or credit card at a Ticket Office and receive one free general admission ticket.
Please note that admission to specially ticketed exhibitions is not included in museum free days.
Are wheelchairs available?
Yes. Wheelchairs are available to guests at either Ticket Office free of charge.
What do I do with my coat or large bag?
LACMA offers free checkrooms at either Ticket Office.
Where can I park while visiting LACMA?
Visitors may park in the Pritzker Parking Garage located on Sixth Street just east of Fairfax Avenue, or in the lot at Spaulding Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard. Parking costs $14 for the day. Metered parking on the street is also available. Please read signs carefully, as parking on Wilshire Boulevard and in the neighborhoods surrounding LACMA is heavily restricted, and cars are ticketed and towed during certain hours.
Members at the Dual level and above have the option of adding a membership parking pass to their membership. See a Ticket Office for details.
How do I learn about becoming a member of LACMA?

How many free tickets to specially ticketed exhibitions do members receive?
The number of tickets members receive depends on the level of membership. Individual and Student-level members receive one free ticket; Dual-level members and above receive two. Beginning at the Friend level, members may return to visit select specially ticketed exhibitions for free as often as they like. Contact the Membership Department if you’re unsure about your membership status at 323 857-6151 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is LACMA Film Club?
Film Club is a membership option for members who have a passion for film. Film Club members enjoy advance notice for film events at LACMA, discounts on all Film Independent at LACMA events, ticket pre-sales, invites to complimentary members-only screenings, and more. Film Club can be added to a new or current membership at the Individual level or above. Contact the Membership Department for details at 323 857-6151 or email@example.com.
Does LACMA offer special services to groups?
Yes. LACMA offers discounted general admission for groups of ten or more: $12, $8 for students and seniors, and free to guests younger than 18. Specially ticketed exhibitions are also discounted for groups of ten or more at $15 per ticket.

What should I do if I’m having trouble logging into my account or I forgot my password?
You can email the Ticket Office at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you forgot your password, select “forgot password?” on the Account log-in page. If you have previously registered your email address with the ticketing system, a link to reset your password will automatically be sent to that address.
Why isn’t my promo code working?
The promo code must be entered in the final page of the transaction process. Check the box to the left of “Please enter promo code,” which will allow you to type your promo code in the box provided. Once you’ve entered your promo code, select “Submit” directly to the right of the code. If you’re code still does not work, contact a Ticket Office at 323 857-6010 before completing your purchase.
