Get inspired by works of art from the museum's collection and exhibitions! Kids’ classes include drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and more and are designed for children ages 6–9 and 10–13. Young artists under the age of 6 are invited to join family classes.
Family art classes are designed for the whole family! Engage in lively discussions through observation activities and art-making. Work with practicing artists and educators, and create your own expressive art!
Classes for young artists ages 3 1/2–5 and their family members or caregivers include storytelling, observation activities, exploration of materials, and sparked curiosity. Families make art side-by-side or work on collaborative pieces.
Classes for kids ages 5 and up and their family members or caregivers give everyone the opportunity to share experiences around art. Discover the museum, explore techniques, and experiment with materials together.
Designed for students ages 13–17, teen classes encourage teens to experiment and develop their own personal style. Teens ages 16 and older with previous art experience may also join adult classes.
Imaginations soar as kids spend a week being inspired by LACMA’s diverse collection of art. Led by a team of creative museum educators and artists, campers are introduced to a wide variety of materials and techniques to express themselves. Each day includes gallery activities, viewing of original works of art, a one-hour lunch break to play, and stimulating studio projects. The week culminates with a camp art show!
- Art Camp is from 10 am to 3 pm. LACMA does not offer extended care.
- Campers must pack a nut-free lunch and snack every day to eat during supervised breaks.
- Art materials and parking validation included in tuition.
- Please call the Art Camp Coordinator at 323 857-6139 for more information.
A refund equal to half of tuition paid will be granted for cancellations made two weeks before camp start date.
