Hear from Lauren Hanson, curator of The Brockman Gallery: Los Angeles, 1967–1990, and art historian Charmaine Branch at a focused discussion on the history and impact of the Brockman Gallery as they lead a tour the exhibition. Founded in South L.A. in 1967, the gallery played a pivotal role in championing Black artists in Los Angeles and shaping a vital network for artistic production, exhibition, and cultural visibility.
