Spend your Saturday evenings with world-renowned artists performing everything from Indigenous music to the latest sounds from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Los Angeles! These free concerts are presented Saturday evenings from Memorial Day weekend in May to Labor Day weekend in September. This week, join us for a concert with the Ian Coury Brazilian String Quartet.
Ian Coury has been accruing professional awards and accolades since sharing a stage with Brazilian choro legends Armandinho and Hamilton de Holanda in 2014 at the age of 12. Today, he’s one of Brazil’s most-respected virtuosos of the 10-string mandolin. He has performed with such luminaries as Paquito D’Rivera, Claudio Roditi, and Toninho Horta. Ian grew up in Brasília and studied at Berklee College of Music University.
