Celebrate L.A.’s finest jazz musicians with Jazz at LACMA, presented Friday evenings from May through October.
This week, join us for a concert with the Lesa Terry.
Through the lens of jazz interpretation, The Lesa Terry Collective is a chamber ensemble celebrating diverse musical cultures. Featured instrumentation includes a hard swingin’ string quartet, along with piano, bass, drums, and percussion. Jazz classics and original compositions will be highlighted, including a few special surprises along the way. Dr. Lesa Terry is violinist, composer, band leader, and professor who has worked with such diverse ensembles as the Max Roach Double Quartet, Uptown String Quartet, and Women’s Jazz Orchestra of Los Angeles.
Jazz at LACMA is free and open to all. Seating is limited and first come, first served. Visitors are encouraged to wear face masks in all indoor spaces including restrooms.
