Celebrate L.A.’s finest jazz musicians with Jazz at LACMA, presented Friday evenings from April to November.
This week, join us for a concert with Tomas Janzon Quartet.
Tomas Janzon’s recent release 130th and Lennox was rated "One of the Best Albums 2020" by DownBeat. NOMADIC (2023) is his most recent album. Janzon’s recordings include musicians Billy Higgins, Albert “Tootie” Heath, Sherman Ferguson, Art Hillery, Donald Dean, William Henderson, Tony Austin, Jeff Littleton, Nedra Wheeler, Ben Dixon, Ken Filiano, Steve Nelson, Chuck McPherson, and Hilliard Greene.
At LACMA, Tomas will be joined by Donald Dean (drums), Jeff Littleton (bass), and Jamael Dean (piano). The quartet will play original music from recent albums plus hard bop and jazz standards.
Jazz at LACMA is free and open to all. Seating is limited and first come, first served. Visitors are encouraged to wear face masks in all indoor spaces including restrooms.
