Spend your Saturday evenings with world-renowned artists performing everything from Indigenous music to the latest sounds from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Los Angeles! These free concerts are presented Saturday evenings from Memorial Day weekend in May to Labor Day weekend in September. This week, join us for a concert with Soul Sauce.
Born out love and respect for the unique musical sounds created by Latin jazz legend/vibraphonist Cal Tjader, this collective recreates the exact musical arrangements Tjader wrote and recorded for today's audience. From original hits such as "Soul Sauce (wachi-wara)" to versions of jazz standards like "Speak Low," this band will engage an audience with its exotic, infectious sound which infuses Afro-Cuban and Brazilian rhythms with modern jazz classics.
