Songs from the Hole
Contessa Gayles, 2024, 96 minutes
Songs from the Hole, the acclaimed documentary-visual album directed by Contessa Gayles (The Feminist on Cellblock Y, Founder Girls) and composed by JJ’88 while he was behind prison bars comes to LACMA with a special post-screening performance by JJ'88 featuring a live band. Songs from the Hole is available on Netflix and the Songs from the Hole EP will be available for purchase and streaming on August 13.
