Queering the Collection invites artists and scholars to explore artwork and objects from LACMA's collection and exhibitions, presenting queer perspectives alongside art-historical insights.

At this session, designer and stylist OLIMA will join LAMCA curators David Bardeen and Clarissa Esguerra in the galleries of Collecting Impressionism at LACMA to discuss the exhibition's costumes and depictions of fashion.

Oscar Olima is a designer, stylist, and creative known for his refined understanding of texture, silhouette, and the female form. He creates exclusive one-of-a-kind pieces that blend sensuality, craftsmanship, and unique perspective and has dressed numerous influential artists including Lady Gaga, Carla Morrison, Marina, Banks, and San Cha.

This program is part of Third Weekends at LACMA, a monthly line up of free and ticketed programs inspired by our collection and special exhibitions.
