Hear from artist Janna Ireland and LACMA curators Staci Steinberger and Sarah Locke, who will explore Paul R. Williams’s profound impact on Los Angeles at a talk presented alongside the exhibition Paul R. Williams: Architect for Living, which examines the legacy of the most prominent Black American architect of his generation. They’ll discuss the indelible marks Williams left on his native Los Angeles from the 1920s through the early 1970s, and how Ireland’s photographs document and engage with Williams’s buildings, reframing his historical architectural legacy.
