Welcome to LACMA!

Located on the Pacific Rim, LACMA is the largest art museum in the western United States, with a collection of 155,000 objects that illuminate thousands of years of artistic expression across the globe. In 2026, LACMA opened the David Geffen Galleries, designed by Pritzker Prize–winning architect Peter Zumthor. The sculptural concrete and glass building is as noteworthy as the global collection of art and objects it houses, featuring natural light and iconic views of Los Angeles. The museum experience currently includes two other buildings featuring exhibitions, major works of public art, expansive grounds and green space, free and ticketed programs, plus dining and shopping.
