From MacArthur Park, with Love
From MacArthur Park, with Love celebrates the neighborhood of MacArthur Park—its past, present, and future—through the perspectives of more than 100 students enrolled at Charles White Visual Arts LACMA Magnet. Discover something new about the neighborhood through maps by first graders and observational drawings by students in Art Club; see local birds as observed by second graders; explore community through portraits by third graders; learn about culture and food through soft sculptures and personal narratives by fourth graders; and, finally, discover what the future may hold for this ever-changing neighborhood as imagined by fifth graders.
Join us for free, drop-in intergenerational art workshops inspired by From MacArthur Park, with Love every Saturday, May 23–August 1. (Please note, the gallery will be closed on July 4).
