Drop-in Workshops
Let’s Play: Chess at LACMA
- Date:
- Time: 12 PM – 3 PM
- Price: Free, RSVP required
Kings, queens, and chess enthusiasts to the board! Taking inspiration from Max Ernst’s chess set on view in the David Geffen Galleries, visitors are invited to spend some time creating new connections with other Angelenos or out of town visitors by learning or practicing the game of kings. Representatives from the Los Angeles Chess Social will be on hand to offer instruction and guidance to those who want it. Whether you’re a newbie or looking to show off your ELO, come join other chess lovers in exploring how art and board games can create community. All levels are welcome.
This program is part of Third Weekends at LACMA, our monthly line up of free and ticketed programs.
