How Austria Came to America: Screening and Conversation

Transatlantic Tastemaker: Otto Kallir and Austrian Modernism, directed for the ORF (Austrian Public Television) by Stefanie Simpkins, follows the renowned art dealer’s trajectory from Vienna to New York. Fioretta, released through 7th Art, explores the origins of Viennese composer Arnold Schoenberg’s family through the eyes of his grandson, lawyer and genealogist E. Randol Schoenberg.

A screening of these two documentaries will be followed by a conversation with Jane Kallir (granddaughter of Otto Kallir) and E. Randol Schoenberg, moderated by curator Paul Holdergräber.

This program takes place at the Peltz Theatre at the Museum of Tolerance.
